Bridal Shower Ideas

Do we have to Play Games?

Playing games is up to you.  Main reason for playing games is to use them as an "ice breaker" in order for people to get to know each other.  If you are planning to have games remember who your guests are going to be, making sure that everyone can be included in the competitions.

Some ideas for games are:

Toilet paper bride - have the guest pick a partner and give them several rolls of toilet paper.  With one person pretending to be the bride the other person will create the bridal gown using the toilet paper.  The Bride can be the just in selecting the best design.

Bride Trivia - list several things about the bride and ask the questions to see who can answer the most about the bride.

Memory Game - Place fifteen to twenty small wedding related items on a tray and cover them. To play this game, place the tray in the center of your guests for two minutes. Cover the tray again and ask the guests to write down as many of the items as they can remember. The person who remembers the most, wins a prize.

Swinging Ball - This one is a lot of fun and will get lots of laughs.  Using a pair of panty hose,  insert a golf ball into the toe and tie the panty hose around your waist.  Start swinging the ball back and forth and hit another ball across the finish line.  The first one over wins!

Pin the boutonniere on the Groom - Enlarge a picture of the groom, and have guests try to put a flower sticker on the groom's vest - right where the boutonniere should be. Don't forget the blindfolds!

Quiz the Bride - Put the Bride in the hot seat and quiz her on how well she knows her Groom! Video the Groom's answers before-hand, and get your guests involved by guessing just how many questions she'll get right.

The Bell Game - Each guest that comes to the shower gets a small liberty bell on a ribbon necklace. They wear the necklace until taken away by another guest. You lose your necklace by saying the bride or grooms names. You may only refer to them as the "bride" or the "groom".  The guest with the most bell necklaces wins.

Hunk-in-a-Baloon - You take a total of 25 balloons, [more or less depending on the amount of guest arrive] and put either a picture and/or description of a man inside the balloon. After the balloons have been blown up and passed around, each lady pops her balloon with a provided pin. The lady who finds the hunk or groom is the winner!
