Wedding Shoes
What to Look for when buying your shoes:

Comfort - you'll be on your feet for hours, so be sure that you choose shoes that are comfortable!

Height - if you want to add height but your are not use to stilettos try platform shoes.  If you're not use to wearing high heals don't leave it until your wedding day getting use to them.

Purchasing your Gown: it is a good idea to wear shoes that are approximately the same height that you may wear when purchasing your gown.  But before the final fitting be sure to bring the shoes that you will be wearing to the fitting and don't change them after (if you can help it).  A slight change in heel height may affect the hemline of your gown.

Style - choose the style that reflex you and your gown!  A fancy dress with many embellishments you may want to continue down to your shoes - but be careful that they don't class.  However with a simple gown you can add a fancy shoe.  If your a high style girl go for the sophisticated style.... if your the laid back type - a simple 1 or 2 inch heal or even flip flops may be your style.  (they come in many styles).  Remember to co-ordinate the whole look of the ensemble.

White is not white - not all whites are equal, be sure to take a swatch of your dress when you go shopping for your shoes.

Buying shoes - Best time to consider buying your shoes is later in the day when your feet tired and are at their largest.  At the end of the day your feet may have swollen and trying shoes on at this point will give you a better idea what your shoes are going to feel like after a long day of wedding activities.

Break In - before your wedding day wear your shoes around the house to break them in.  Nothing is worse than putting on new shoes and having them kill your feet.  If your shoes slip in the least purchase no slip pads to insert in your shoes.  Breaking them in will save you the possibility of hurting later.

Back up shoes - you may want to buy or bring a second pair of shoes to put on later in the day.  As the old saying goes "change is good as a rest".  Make sure the second pair are the same height as the first.

Slip and fall - to avoid slipping on carpet or slippery dance floors you can either purchase pads to put on the bottom or try scuffing the bottom of the shoes with sandpaper to give you added traction.
