Highlights from the July Bridal Show Luncheon

The July Bridal Show Luncheon was held at Sawmill Creek where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch from their Bistro menu.

Hot Topics!

Some interesting topics were discussed at the Luncheon especially one topic regarding Insurance for Events.  I spoke to Geoff Hammond recently who is Catering Sales Manager at the Holiday Inn and he said that event insurance is not mandatory.   However he went on to say that the Holiday Inn is covered by their own insurance and that their insurance covers just the Holiday Inn for any liability.  He stressed that it would be something he would recommend customers to look into to cover themselves in case of a civil lawsuit in the unfortunate event that something might arise from your special event.

I also spoke to a local insurance company regarding this and was told that this type of insurance is available and that you should contact your own insurance agent who handles your house insurance.

 

For those of you that are planning a backyard wedding or a non traditional wedding site - obtaining the proper insurance is highly recommended!

Bon Jovi Loves My Town!

Another hot topic at the July Luncheon was the Bon Jovi Video made during Bayfest called
"Bon Jovi Loves My Town" I checked it out and here it is!! 

And to my delight I saw my brother in the video!! He's one of the drummers playing
at the beach in Brights Grove. (shortly after the Skeeter Barlow shot).  Ladies your right this was an awesome video!

 

A suggestion for for those of you who are having out of town guests - this might be a fun video for those not familiar with
Sarnia to view prior to coming to Sarnia.  I'd be happy to place the link on your Engagement Announcement pages! Just let me know!

Sawmill Creek is a beautiful location!
