Sherri Cordeiro is a long time
resident of Lambton County who grew up in Camlachie and
she attended St. Clair Secondary School.
Before
starting her own business Sherri worked at a custom broker
at the Bluewater Bridge for eleven years and
her experience working in customer service and
accounting has been an asset. Asked what prompted
her to open a store she replied "I woke up one day and
decided to start my own business, it's was as simple as
that". "Other gift type stores
especially stores that focus on bereavement in the area
were closing and I felt there was a need to fill"
Sherri has
expanded her business to meet her customers demands.
"I listen to people," the owner says.
"I have expanded my store to accommodate what people
want."
Originally the store was just one small room but as the
clientele grew so did the products offered.
"People like things that are unique," she said.

The bereavement sections offers customers a chance to send a
deceased family a special gift to remember them by.
There is home and garden decor that is sure to impress guests as
the summer months approach.
But something Sherri is most excited about his her new line of
hand bag and jewelry line coming out this month. |

"I have loyal customers who come in each month and see what is
new in the store," Sherri said.
"But if I don't have it I will call around and find it. It's all
about the customer. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here."
When asked what is one thing in the store that she doesn't
believe a lot of retailers carry she said, "Rosaries."
"Not a lot of stores that I know of carry them. I know there is
a need for them."
Sherri also carries
wedding gift items and unity candles along with a wide
assortment of baby and christening gifts.
Sherri said that she tries to sell more things that are made in
Canada than products that aren't.
Heaven and Home Gift Store is really the only shop of its kind
in town especially in the south end.
Located at 266 Russell Street South (corner of Ontario and
Russell) Heaven and Home gift store is open 9:30-5 Monday-Friday
and Saturday from 10-4.
"We are the angel store and so much more," Sherri said.
"I offer deceivingly unique stuff. I think if people come in
they won't be disappointed."
